Adult Forum Series
Every community has stories that help explain who we are. Some are stories we know well; others have been passed down so many times that we may no longer remember where they began. Our faith is the same. The Christian story is filled with people, places, events, and experiences that have shaped how generations of believers have understood God and what it means to follow Jesus.
This fall, Holy Family begins a new formation series called Origins, an opportunity to explore some of the people, practices, traditions, and ideas that have shaped our faith and our life together as Episcopalians. We will look back – not simply to learn about the past, but to discover how our origins continue to shape who we are today.
Our first session in the series is “Origins: Stories That Shape Us.” We will explore the stories that have shaped the Christian faith and the Episcopal tradition, considering how the stories we tell – and the stories we inherit – help form our understanding of God, ourselves, and one another.
This is not a class where you need to know the “right” answers or have a background in church history. It is an opportunity to come with curiosity, ask questions, share what you know, and perhaps discover something you have never considered before. Whether you have been part of Holy Family for many years or are just beginning to find your place here, there is a place for you in the conversation.
