Gospel at Hogwarts 2024 – Signs and Symbols

May be an image of 6 people, table and text

Holy Family embarked on a magical journey as students uncovered the Gospel at Hogwarts! This year’s FREE children’s ministry event on Saturday, January 20th from 6-8 PM took students on an adventure to discover the signs and symbols of Discipleship. Through magical activities and experiences, students learned four bible stories and the ways in which signs and symbols have led (and will lead) us through our lives. For more information about this magical tradition, please contact Children’s Ministry Director Jolene Johnston. jjohnston@hfec.org

Trivia Night 2023

Thank you to all who attended or supported the first Trivia Night Fundraiser at HFEC! It was a fun night showing off knowledge, enjoying each other’s company, and raising money to support Holy Family’s church, ministries, and mission work. A special thanks to Kelly O, Jolene Johnston, Ben and Bethany Paden, Jon Manuszak, Chris Hamon, and Fr. Bruce Gray for all of the help before, after, and during the event to make sure all went well. It couldn’t happen without you! A special thanks also goes to Joe and Barb Spangler for the donation of a grill that was used as a grand prize in the Lucky Balloon game. Their donation helped to raise an additional $800 for the church! Hopefully everyone had a good time and will join in for a second annual Trivia Night again next year.

For ways to participate in the next Trivia Night, please contact Kelly via the church office. admin@hfec.org

Trick or treaters from the parish and community visited decorated displays and enjoyed receiving candy and other treats. Pet Blessing 2022

Holy Family held its annual Pet Blessing on Sunday, October 2nd at 10 AM in the outdoor chapel. This special day celebrates the Feast of St. Francis. Among many other wonderful things, St. Francis was known for his love of animals and uncanny ability to connect with them. It is said that he treated animals with the utmost respect, love, and care.   Legend has it that St. Francis even preached to the animals about God’s love and concern for them! At Holy Family, ALL are welcome!
