Holy Family Confirmation
March 1 – September 19, 2026

As Holy Family grows together in faith and fellowship, we are offering Confirmation as a shared journey of formation within the life of the whole parish.

Our 2026 Confirmation process will bring together youth (16+) and adults who are new to the Episcopal Church, returning to active faith, or seeking to reaffirm their baptismal promises. This shared model reflects who we are becoming as a parish: a community rooted in prayer, grounded in sacrament, and committed to growing together.

Using I Will, With God’s Help as our guide, we will explore the Baptismal Covenant, Scripture, the Book of Common Prayer, Anglican identity, and the vocation of Christian life. Confirmation is not graduation from church. It is a mature and public affirmation of the life God has already begun in us.

We begin on March 1, 2026, and conclude with the Bishop’s Visit and Confirmation on September 19, 2026. Sessions will be held on Sundays immediately following the service. Confirmands are kindly asked to purchase a copy of the youth or adult journal listed above.

Session Dates:

March 1               April 19                June 7                                  August 2
March 22             May 3                   June 28                               August 16
March 29             May 17                *July Mission Month         September 6

*Youth: attend the Diocesan Youth Mission Trip. Adults: engage in a mission project.

Throughout this journey, participants will:

  • Grow in prayer and worship
  • Ask honest and thoughtful questions
  • Engage in meaningful service
  • Articulate their faith with clarity and confidence
  • Deepen their commitment to the life of this parish

Regular Sunday worship participation is expected throughout the preparation period.

Age & Diocesan Guidelines

The Diocese follows church-wide canons that assume a minimum confirmation age of 16. Bishop Jennifer considers exceptions on a case-by-case basis for those under 16 who demonstrate exceptional maturity in faith or have a particular pastoral need. Requests should be made in advance to Fr. Frank.

If you are 16 (or turning 16 in 2026), new to the Episcopal Church, never confirmed, or seeking to reaffirm your faith as part of Holy Family’s next chapter, you are warmly invited.

Please direct questions to Fr. Frank.

We look forward to walking this renewed path together.
