Reading the World book group is ready for a new bookish adventure:  For November, the chosen book is The Wind Knows My Name, by Isabel Allende. A political migrant herself, Ms Allende has crafted a story that she clearly knows from the inside. Beginning just before WWII with a Jewish child in Germany, and circling around to Central and South American immigrants in more contemporary times, this is a tale of divergent origins that ends with a newly formed “family” of people who would never have imagined themselves under one roof. Sometimes funny and often troubling, this is a book that will refuse to leave you after the last page! RTW will meet on Wednesday, November 20th, at 3 PM. Contact Fr Bruce to get the information to join the Zoom meeting. bgray@hfec.org
